you think kids cared it was on a military base? our school was known in the county for being the "bad school". the consequences were just more severe.
give me a good reason he shouldn't be allowed to wear them. not "it's distracting". distratcing to whom? the students who should be concentrating on the teacher? if that little black dot is really messing you up that badly, I'd like to see how they react to someone with a deformity. my friend had one arm in highschool, it was plenty distracting at first. get used to it. should we lock him up in solitary too?
alright, "it's in the dress code". the dress code is crap. sorry, I said it. it makes no sense. if it was a 6 inch spike, alright, say something, it's a weapon if nothing else. the entire point of this is that the dress code should be changed. where do we draw the line at piercings? the ear? well what if I want 28 piercings along my ear. that's just as distracting as a ball in my labret and a stud in my brow. it's gender discrimination. you seen what girls put in their ears these days? I tell you, they draw a LOT more attention than what he has. 4 inch gold hoops, fuzzy balls the size of a golfball, 6 inch dangling silver earrings. wanna ban all jewelry? ok. do it. still isn't right but at least we wont have any distractions. might as well go for the school uniform too. wait, it's a public school, they can't enforce uniforms...oops...my girlfriend is in a catholic school. she can only wear one earring at a time. they're allowed to, it's a private organization, and no one forces anyone to go to that school.
why doesn't he change schools? you can't just say "I don't like this school, I'm switching". you're zoned for a school, and by law, he has to go to school. why should he have to take out the piercings he paid to get? ok, take them out during school (hypothetically) and they close up.
