You're kidding right? If everyone held that attitude there never would have been a civil rights movement. Not that I am in any way attempting to compare this kid to MLK but the idea is the same...sometimes you have to take a stand and fight against things that you feel to be unjust. I have no kids, but if I did I'd me more angry about the fact that the state and government are more or less trying once again to tell me how to raise my children.

As far as why someone would do that to their face? Who really cares, they have a right to. Wasn't too long ago people with tattoos were treated in the same manner...it's about people's right to self expression and it is causing no one else any pain and should not be squelched...whether you agree with their form of self expression or not.

Great message their sending to the youth of our country: "You're different and that's wrong so we're going to remove you from society"
