I think its a riduculous rule and that he should not be suspended, but with that said, it is the rule at the school. It is his own fault if he sits in suspension everyday, he could easily take them out or possibly move to another school. If they already traveled 700 miles, what's a few more.
Btw, I had multible piercings in 7th-8th grade, including my eyebrow ring, omg!
My school never had any problem with it and I had no problems with teachers or students. (Although the eyebrow one did get ripped out later on at a party
