He says he doesn't remember ever owning any driods. And he didn't. Also look how many R2 & C-3PO look alikes there are. It's not likely he'd remember them anyway.

He also went by "Ben." He was not altogether forthcoming at first, being a Jedi in hiding, as it were.



Also if you remember, he didn't deal THAT much with the droids. They were in the same place at the same time alot, but didn't really interact.
