I picked them up tuesday morning. All in all I am very happy with them. The clean up job on the video was very well done, especially on A New Hope. There seems to be some audio issues with that disc though. The dialogue seems to switch back and forth from clear to muffled. It does that throughout the movie. The most noticable part is when Tarkin says the 'a military target' line right before they blow up Alderan.
These are neither the original films or the special editions. Many of the effects have been cleaned up and redone, as well as some scenes redone(ie Emperor in ESB, Anakin in ROTJ). Changes aside, I'm thrilled to have a clean, anamorphic version of these films.
....and episode 3 will kick ass.

I have been preaching that for ever. There are more star wars video games than anything. Name one brand/title that has close to the # of video games. If you were to count any video game with mario in it, from tenis to racing you might get close. But they have been making S.W. video games since atari.

anyone get the Battlefront game yet? looks pretty good.

I did, for PC. Unfortunately, my video card is one of the dozen-or-so that are incompatible with the game. Not sure whether I should curse Lucasarts or go and get a new video card. This PC is less than a month old so I'm a little averse to the latter.

that's why i stopped buyin' damned pc games. i ran into that too many times and not ONCE with my PS2. 
did you buy a gamer's computer? typically, the manufacturers chince out on the video cards to keep the cost down. i bought a great laptop with top everything (at the time) and bought Need4Speed Hot Pursuit II and the stupid thing was trippin! besides, id rather enjoy a good game on my 36" WEGA!

I need to get the game next. If I wait a little while it'll be at Gamestop in a couple of months for a lot less than new! I trade games all the time.

Well, apparently most new video cards have this compatability. Just not mine. I had stopped buying computer games for three years and this is the first one for the new computer, and it doesn't work. I don't want to fall down the XBox/PS2 money and time black hole that so many people I know have fallen down.
