Wooh! That's you? Your hair is LONG!
I'd post my sig/other, but we just broke up three nights ago.
I'll not throw a pity party about it though, at least not on here. I'll get flamed about being a fairy pansy boy and told to go out and grow some balls.
I'll post a picture later.
*Note sarcasm.
Before this turns into a Dr. Phil or late-night date show....
Or another political debate that gets locked....

I'm all for state recognition of gay marriages (civil unions). But not social recognition of them (marriage). That's something that has to be guarded to protect the sanctity of the oldest, simplest, and most important human social institution. That homosexuals invest their entire relevance in being part of a heterosexual institution amazes me.

The first statement there says alot.
No spouse, no kids. A marriage "meaning less" is not my point here. If I had a gay son or daughter I would be sure to advise them that the only way for their relationship with their partner to be relevant is not through their assimilation with heterosexual institutions.
I shouldn't hate bait so late.

Unfortunately Lina you came back right at a time of CEG turmoil - for the past two or three weeks it's been little other than heated debates going on and people wanting to pick fights! Good to see you again though.
As for me, no posting of my ugly mug (and no NECEGer better bust out old meet pictures either ) ...

Did anything in the subject of THIS thread contain me talking about homosexuality?? or gay marriage??
I think your just out to start SH!T.. I dont believe in incest but especially in people who choose to do it to procreate... Considering there could be serious birth defects in their child... Who are you to say they shouldnt get married? Not like marriage means a whole lot in our society anymore... They even have a talk show for divorce... Why dont you question everyones right to get married?

Hate to jack a thread, specially on such a worndown topic, but I'll say this. I agree in the fact that civil unions should practically already be put in place. I support gay marriages simply because I see not allowing them to officially "wed" is denying them their right to show their love and commitment for eachother. They are exactly the same as every other human, they love, they hurt, they feel, and I just don't see what giving them the right to express those emotions does to hurt American society. I also agree that marriage SHOULD be the most important human institution, but in an age when ~50% of all marriages end in divorce, and you can get married in a mall, on the Vegas strip under flashing neon, exactly what institution are you trying to protect?
EDIT: I guess lina kinda hit on the deminished marriage topic as well.
