historically, at least in Israel, terrorists were always inclined to sway the election results in the right direction. right means hard liners, hardliners means no negotiations, no negotiations means war, war means more power. I would say this logic applies here all the same and so Al Qaeda would vote for Bush.

to all those who think that Al Qaeda can't vote I can propose the following scenario taken again from Israel history: a week before the elections, they execute a major teract. the nation gets into "the war spirit" and goes to vote for a hard policy. mission accomplished. you don't have to be a genious to predict this reaction.

if they do want The Long Face, which I doubt, here's an alternative: two--three weeks before elections and a small explosion or "unsuccessfull" attempt, and the nation will conclude that current administartion failed to achieve anything in the war on terror and goes to vote for another guy. as bumper sticker has it "anybody but Bush!".

I guess we'll wait and see...
