i was delighted when i found out in here that the big whole in the rear deck could be used for a sub! ok, enough with the pleasantries...

i am very interested in saving space. i love boom but as i am getting older and losing my hearing already and have a kid yada yada yada would love to have a rear deck sub.

for those that have one, heard one, does it hit? please describe... i have done some search but my post is actually toward my own personal deal here.

I presently have 1 4channel punch amp and 2 power 200s. i have run 2 JL 12s with these two power amps and two 10" solo barics.

i have 2 JL 8w6s and one 10" round solo baric in my arsenal.

I am thinking of running one of the JL8w6 via a power 200 amp
or
running the solobaric 10 via a power 200 amp.

i do all my own installs and know how to do wiring and everything but im not sure if both of thee subs will work back there. im not on the up and up with T/S parameters, frequencies and what not.

if either will work, which will have better bass? the FAT 8w6 of the old school solo baric 10? can anyone give me an idea of what the bass will be comparable to? id hate to go through all this effort and then not like it. i have had that happen before but this install looks like some serious work!

thanks for any help you audio gurus can give.

If your box building skills and creativity are up to par I would say go with a 10", I chose the Diamond audio M6 because its works very well down to .30 cubic feet. Damn good bass and I can still fit 3 hockey equipment bags in the trunk.
