Yeah. I should add the 6 to my list, too. Definitely worth a test drive.

the 6's are nice but i see no one making any mention of a FSVT 5 door! 170hp 4 banger! handles like its on rails! fully loaded! 4 doors! almost a sedan.

how about the IS300? thats a great car and RWD! and its lexus so itll last until they make cars fly!
whatever you do, stay AWAY from the new Impala "SS" i saw one at a gas station a few months ago and lemme just say

i cant go back and check right now but was subaru listed? probably.
maxima 6spd is sweet. stillen has stuff for dem. not so hot-looking IMO though.

"I need someone else to absorb the initial depreciation"

Why some company's car sales are so low. Also, leads to certain "cult cars" being dropped.

These days if you have any negotiation skills you can often times grab a new car for the same price as the previous years' used models on the same lot.

For example, some people are getting deals of $6500 off MSRP on the Mazda6 right now.

There are a lot of options out there, so please do you research. ***WARNING! I AM GOING TO OFFER MY OPINION. ***

As you may know or not know I was in your situation a few months ago. I test drove the Mazda 3 and 6. The Mazda 3 was way too small and the interior felt bland and cheap. The 6 on the other hand, was a blast to drive but it felt way too much like the SVT. I wanted to move away from that so that was a turn-off.

I settled on the Passat and I feel the car is great. Yeah, it is a little underpowered and the suspension is weak. All that can be fixed though.

Now I hate America? That is a new one to me.

I think my next car will be a Mitsu Lancer Evolution VIII all wheel drive.

A customer of ours has one that I drove a few times. He's had us mod it, and now it runs 13.00 seconds flat 1/4 mile with just 3" exhaust front to rear, aftermarket blowoff valve, w/ an onboard fuel delivery manipulater piggyback computer, and bumped the boost up by an extra 2 psi over stock. And with all wheel drive, traction is never a problem. It also handles very good, like a go-cart. Like 10 times better than a stock SE Contour. I'm into one of those next. Black one. Plus they come with Xenon lights from the factory. Performance built-in right out of the box. A stock one with no mods runs around 13.5 - 13.7 in the 1/4. But they respond greatly to big exhaust especially. That was the main key that woke up this one we did

Excellent choice.

Everything you read about the car is true: awesome performance right out of the box, easily modable with a plethora of aftermarket parts, and stiff/busy ride with lots of tire and transmission noise. Go-kart steering, blistering acceleration, unbelieveable cornering ability, yet practical enough to carry a family of four to the grocery store. So far, they have been pretty reliable with the exception of those people that have watched The Fast and the Furious too many times and try to use it as a drag car. That is a one-way ticket to a new clutch and a warranty claim denial.

I did the same thing. *My Opinion* Mazda 3 drives much like a focus, very fun and tossable. Very nice little car overall, but nothing like my SVT.

Now the 6 ... the 6 felt so much like my SVT, but blander, slightly heavier, with number steering, and a clutch with no feel to it. And the engine revs seemed to "jump" between shifts. It is very nice looking and spacious inside and out, and just as capable performance-wise as an SVT Contour. It's just lacking the soul, the involvement.

I'd drive an SVT Contour before you buy a 6, see which you like better.

Of that earlier short list posted, I think I'd be interested in the EVO or the S4.

Of course, your opinion may differ.

oh hell, if we're moving up in classes the S4 is right at the top of my list! especially the S4 avant!
