and just so you know, caps don't help with "tighter" bass response. it may help with dimming lights, but it's a patch at best.
Yeah i know i had one before and it was a 1 farad , didnt help worth a HOOT ! but then i didnt have a high output alt either . I did buy the 2.4 SPL so lets hope this works ok for me .

Big caps are worse options than many small caps. 4 .5F caps is a much better option than a 2F cap. But in either case, they won't effect the SQ. Name brand is less important than specs. If you can find the ESR of the caps, lower is better.

Well i will have to give it a whirl when i recive the cap . If i dont like it then i will feed it to my dog ..OH wait, i will feed it to him after i do the discharge LOL
