i was at focaljet.com (awesome focus enthusiast site) and their aftermarket has what's called an 'aerocharger'...from what little i gathered it's like a supercharger, but not exactly like a supercharger...
why do i wonder? because those puny foci can slap on a 'aerocharger' and make 200hp/240ft-lbs!!!!!!
how can we get some of that mad torque???

aerocharger is a trade name for a particular variable vane turbocharger. http://www.aerocharger.com/
It's all about balance.

It's a type of turbocharger. Pretty cool little system, actually. http://www.aerocharger.com/tech1.htm Unfortunately, it's not a matter of just slapping it on and getting 200HP/240lb-ft. The kit for the Focus won't directly bolt up to the Zetec Contour, but any changes for the Stage 1 system should be somewhat minimal compared to having to run all the crap that a conventional turbo would require. http://www.aerocharger.com/focus1.htm

There was a guy over at NECO that had one of those things on his Zetec. He said minor mods to the piping where needed, and everything else was bolt on. He was putting over 220HP to the wheels. You Zetec'ers need to bite the bullet and just do it!!!

Yeah, that's kinda what i want...an aerocharger for the the svt...I'd love the kind of torque increase that the focus got! real nice hp increase over a stock focus as well!
