Does $70 seem reasonable for a pair of used SE side skirts off a 1999 Contour? Should I try and talk the guy down, or just be happy with his initial asking price? Thanks.

can't hurt to try talking down, as far as I know the SE sides skirts are expensive where the SVT ones are not for some reason, go figure
$70 for a pair that you will have to paint doesn't sound bad to me

The funny thing is, I won't have to paint them because the seller's 'tour is the same color as mine . Sounds to me like $70 is a great deal then, but your right, it never hurts to talk him down.

Do they come with all the mounting brackets? I got mine for $20, but no mounting brackets.

MAKE SURE THEY COME WITH THE MOUNTING CLIPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought a set of SE skirts for my car and they came with NO clips, and the price at Sig. LM ( or CEG price) $125 PER SIDE for the clips/.....PER SIDE!!!!! Where as if i orderd the SKIRTS they CAME WITH the clips and it's only $101 per side! Go figure eh? Although you can make yer own clips VERY easily. I WAS having some made at a mchine shop, but i haven't heard from them i weeks so i said screw it and made my own.
Wow, that was a long reply......shutting up now

Thanks everyone for all the advice. I was able to negotiate with the seller and talk him down to $60 for the pair because of a few glaring scratches(all on the underside). I couldn't wait to install them, so I put one on just before it got dark, with intentions of installing the other one today, but it's been raining all day so it doesn't look like that is going to happen. Car still looks immensely better though with just one side installed . CarDomain Scroll down to bottom to see updated pic.

Back in march, I paid $100 for mine already painted and used. I wanted to get them because i've been looking for them for a while(like almost 2 yrs). $75 is a hell of a steal but like others said try to get him gown to $65.
