I was at my local Ford dealership earlier today to get an estimate on how much certain maintenance items on the Contour would cost. I asked the service guy if they had any of the new Ford 500's on the lot yet. He said that one had come in the previous day and was sitting in the showroom. I went out to see it. That car is one sweet looking vehicle. Very, very nice. ( )
But, at a sticker of right around $ 24,845.... an $ 8.50/hr. production slave, like myself, ain't going to own one any time soon.

Only has a 200 HP V6, for a car larger than the Tour that's pretty weak. The car looks good, but I hope Ford has some power in the pipeline and soon or the car will have a rep as a slouch.
I see a bunch of them over here in Chicago at the South side plant that makes them.
