Anyone know of a good free defrag program for Win XP? I am trying to partion my HDD but windows has a few programs unmovable toward the end of the drive and only leaves a few megs for the partion.

Oh ok. Just making sure you wernt trying to do it for some other stupid reason. Ill look around for ya. Ive never had any good reason to find a different defrag program.

You have to find a program that defrags from a DOS prompt. If you defrag while in XP there will be pieces of XP that are in use and therefore unmovable.

For the partions, there is a install utility in Linux that will partion it during install.
