Just a note I found broken soldier connections where the right angle pins from the connector go thru the circuit board. I did test the transistor but just basic diode type test and voltage drop.
While I was at I isolated the IMRC box with nylon washers I had laying around. 3/8 thick just enough to help as thermal break from the valve cover.
It hasn't miss a beat since.

I would have hope the engineers designed the components for that high heat area? Of course I forgot about the bean-counters!
