Yes, of course it spins more than 360 - but it will always stop and hold at the same spot (after it's pulled the cable in all the way). If that winding is weak from bad contacts or burnt insulations on a winding, it could pose a problem. Again I'll admin it seems far fetched, but how would you explain the failure mode of an IMRC that always opens, but fails to hold position and surges partly closed back to open repeatedly, escpecially when hot???
As for you'r IMRC reloc fix Harley, just shows sometimes we could all use a degree of common sense more than anything else!
