The switch on the brake pedal may have been bent or have fallen off to where pushing the brake pedal does not light up the brake lights or actuate the solenoid for the shifter to move... My brother told me a while ago that it was common on either T-birds or Mustangs for it to just pop out (especially with big feet). So check the switch on the brake pedal. terestron New CEG\'er T Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 14 Chicago, IL (Island Lake)	I am having the same exact problem with mine...except now it keeps blowing the fuse cont. and it is fuse #23 as well...funny thing now is I can shift ok but it still blows the fuse..I put a 20A in and it lasts anywhere from a couple days to weeks...can anyone direct me where to look...? thanx.. 1998 Contour, 2.0 Zetec, 4dr
