What happened Mike???

a high school hockey injury that has come back. MRI and arthroscopic surgery the next two weeks. yard and house work dont help things though.
tony take it easy and dont hurt yourself. sometimes it might pay to have someone else do some of the work.

Sorry to hear about the news Mike get better and rehab it so its better then new. Mike thanks for the warning but I have all the time in the world. I can't spend money so anything I can do now I do. I just unloaded the second load of soil. it's already getting really old I probably have about 2-3 more loads to go. The only thing I have going in my favor is that it's cooler out now. I won't be sweating my azz off quite as bad.


hey Mike don't sweat it I pace myself when I do this stuff. it's the demo work that can hurt me I get way too into it and just go crazy..I can'ty wait till this winter when I can start ripping out some drywall...well thats if I can save up some cash

It's funny mike..... tony and I have fixer-uppers, and you... well, you just have to make your yard look pretty ! Don't get mad or anything, but I thought that was great - hehe

No sheet hey??? trust me if I could have built new I would have,but I'm not made of money. Maybe ina 5-10 years i can build a nice small house on 10-20 acres but until then I'll have to live with what I got and make it better but right now i need to insulate the house ans think about turning on the furnace....it was 56 in the house when I got home from work today

Joe you should see my house now. I got 2 rooms gutted down to studs..just need to get in the attic and remove the insulationing so I can knock out the ceilings damn doubled up drywall and ceiling panels. one of the rooms had had doubled up wood paneling on its walls it was an inch thick I think i've hauled over a dozen loads of wood from my property and about 4 loads of dirt out to boot. i got a ton of electrical stuff to get from my friend so i can rough in the rooms. Then I gots to hit my hook up on insulationing. I love knowing people in the trades

knowing peeps is the best.... everything but new light fixtures and ceiling fans, I have gotten for FREE too -

I just finished drywalling 2 bedrooms and finished painting the master bedroom and living room - and for some reason a previous owner put this pointy texture sh!t on the ceiling upstairs in the hallway that sticks off like a half inch, I have been scraping that all off too.

Oh, and I took out this nasty sliding shower/tub door and put a nice shower curtain up after I recaulked it all. New TP and towel holders too..... soo much to do, so little time to do it!


Oh, I also got a quote for my home owners insurance - $268 a year and my house was appraized at 107,000 and I only bought it for 82,900! I have a sh!t load of equity already just from buying the house!

My insurance is $400+ a year and I had it lowered in some areas of coverage. I don't want my house appraised anytime soon. With 2 rooms completely gutted,piles of wood,drywall,and ceiling tiles everywhere it looks like a construction zone I started roughing in the cans for the rooms and the hallway. I gots to get soem boxes for the switches and outlets and I have some framing work to do in both rooms before I can wire it. Blow in insulation sucks

I hate the feeling of knowing that everytime you go home you have work to do..... kinda sucks but it keeps you busy, I guess. I moved in this weekend, and I love it - I also have more work to do, oh well - 400 isn't soo bad for insurance

Thats also for a 125K house though. And after this winter I don't even want to know what my house couild be assessed at. Over half of it will be rewired and insulated and drywalled. Should have the floors refinished by then too. Whole basement will get rewired one of these days too. the house will be half new by janurary.
