I forget whom, but someone did the calulations once and for you to readline in 5th it's around 160 or so, which unless u have massive power adders is a little unlikely..unless maybe u are on the dyno :p [/b]
Like a 3L maybe.

heheh, that would be a matter of perspective.

Also, I gotta ask...
You have "This is one drag queen not defined by time slips" in your signature...
Do I dare ask???

170 mph...... a number like that makes the guys who say, "I really think the zetec power is great!" look like blocks of cheese.

Just out of curiosity, did you notice what the speedo said when you were going 170? I had a GPS system in my car once and after 60mph the speedometer just got more and more off (said I was going faster than I was).

The speedo was pegged at 160 before I reached 160, infact I want to say that it was reading 160 when I was actually doing about 152mph or close to it.

So to answer your question... at 170 the speedo was pegged just past 160.

I was on my way to a high-speed persuit, threw on my dash light, and the speedo was reading 151. The car was extremely stable. Later that night, I found out one of the other officers clocked me in at 147 mph coming up behind him. I tell you what though, I've driven many cars up and around 150 mph, and very few handle as good as these do, just be sure not to jerk the wheel to hard. smile (start of lecture) I also do not condone anyone driving at these speeds without proper training, do it on a closed course with proper safety equipment and supervision. I've seen alot of bad outcomes of street racing. I've seen people who thought they were excellent drivers bite it at 80mph in sports cars. One of the greatest joys in the world is flogging the p!ss out of your sports car, just make sure you are not putting yourself, or more importantly others in danger. (end of lecture)

I am guilty. This was the main reason why I never posted anything about my top speed when I did it.
