now before anyone gets mad ay me i did like 12 searches on this and i could not find anything....
i was wondering if these headlight assemblys would work on the 98+ contours???if not what has to be done to make them fit right??

i believe to make them fit you have to fab new mounts, get a new grill, and modify the quarter panels just to make them look decent. not a cheap venture by any means.
the contour and mondeo bumpers are not the same due to different crash requirements and as much as the headlights of the two cars look the same, they arent. they have slightly different shapes, dimensions, and mounting points.
funny you couldnt find anything in a search, i did.

Qwk98svt Jeff here has them... so do a handful of others. Man.. I've never seen so many topics on Morette headlights....

yes and he has done the mods i was talking of. search for some of his posts on the subject. and as tight as that car is, those lights still dont look like they fit right. looks "close enough" IMHO.

Save your money. There is a guy working on having the headlights made for contours. Its sounds like it might actually go through too. He has been paying for the design work so far and i think he needs to go through with it to make his money. Its in the GB section so take a look
