I don't agree, at least not entirely. I take a person at their word. If I'm told the tires are good, I'm not gonna run over to the car & check them right off the bat.

Nothing was mentioned about the alignment or suspension mods that might affect tire wear. If the tires were good when he got the car (they could have been if he never looked), a little attention to the "new" vehicle in the following weeks could have signaled a problem. That could have saved his set of tires.

My car was given the once-over every weekend for the first few months to detect any abnormalities with tire wear, fluid leaks, & the like. Easy & takes just a minute.


Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

In today's world there are very few people you can trust, and someone selling a used car is up there. We you come into exotics and higher end vehicles its different story, but a used Contour, I wouldn't take their word.
