I managed to break the elbows on the vacuum lines that come out of the upper intake manifold on my 95 2.5L contour. Does anyone know where I can get the elbows? My dealer gave me part number F5RZ-9E498-A, which looks like the right part, but it is over $100. I had him look up other years and for the 96-99 he had part number F6RZ-9E498-AD wich was around $30. Since he did not have either one in stock, I did not know which one to order. Are the fittings in the manifold the same for all years, because all I really need are the fittings. Does anyone know?

Well order them and p.u. the correct one. His computer doesn't show a diagram of the part like all the rest do?

The part number is in the FAQ.

Heck it's even on my site.

Also it's about $10 per and includes the brass inserts.

Hot damn I was feeling generous again...

UIM Plastic Retainer Grommet with brass insert sleeve F5RZ-2A411-A ~US $8-10

I already tried ordering p/n: F5RZ-2A411-A, and it does have the plastic grommet and rubber insert, but the part I broke is the elbow connector that fits inside of these. I guess I can order the p/n: F5RZ-9E498-A which is over $100, but I would like to avoid that if at all possible. Any other suggestions?

todras, His computer doesn't show an accurate drawing of the part, it is difficult to determine what the part does according to his drawing. The drawing he is looking at is the same one every dealer has though.

Oh. It's making sense now.

Yes that little elbow is ONLY sold with the entire vacuum hard line IIRC.

However they are NOT $100.

Their price and part number have been posted before. It was more along the $20-30 each price range IIRC.

I'd find a Duratec in the local salvage yard and snag the entire vacuum tube. Probably be $5.

That's of course in the engine is still in it. If not most likely the elbow is still in the UIM and the vacuum tube is cut or broken.

3 years ago I purchased the entire vacuum harness assembly. It was around 36 dollars.

This past Feb I purchased the same entire assembly for my other 95 Contour and the price wtih 20% discount was around 125 dollars.......just have to love Ford for these price increases.....

btrautman,

The entire assembly that you purchased, is it the same as the part number I listed above? The F5RZ-9E498-A? If it is, did that include both lines that go into the manifold?
