I forget whom, but someone did the calulations once and for you to readline in 5th it's around 160 or so, which unless u have massive power adders is a little unlikely..unless maybe u are on the dyno :p

It's very stable...this depends on the tires your using. Yes I know what the stock tires are/were, still different tires perform differently.

It's all about the rubber baby.

How would a slipping clutch increase your top speed. Speed is determined "Downstream" of the clutch. So if a clutch were slipping, the tach would rise, but the speedo wouldn't.

But that's what you meant, right wink

Max speed attainable at 7k and stock 24.5" tires is a hair below 169mph...

However the 200HP SVT is drag limited to 143-144mph...
150mph at ~240HP (~195FWHP)
160mph at ~290HP (~240FWHP)
170mph at ~340HP (~275FWHP)
(rough estimates)

Also like stated before. The stock speedo is quite generous once you get above 100mph.

Deviation from stock tire size will make this exponentially worse.

Well, I have well over 275fwhp and a 7500rpm redline, and the gps indicated 172.8mph w/ 6 satellites tracking.

Just saying that if the clutch were slipping and the speedo was inacurate (yes I know 2 variables). however unlikely it could happen. Of course if pigs could fly...... :p wink
