I know it is from the trunk but I have no idea where is feel down from. If someone could get me a picture of where/how it attaches that would be greatly appreciated.

I looked under the rear desk (MEANT DECK ) but I can't figure out for the life of me where it goes.
My wife said it was my hood prop. Now that was funny.

isn't that the lever you pull to open your rear seats from the trunk?
"What did you think about that Dorothy girl?"
"The whole Judy Garland thing kinda turned me on. That doesn't make me some sort of fag does it?
"Nah baby, your money."

Not the lever to open the seats... i have those and they work... this is why i am confused b/c everything works in the trunk.

extra part, i always get those when i work on my car. could be the reason for the massive oil leak too

I don't think its from your car. In our cars we have these weak little gas filled shocks to push the trunk open or dampen the movement, i dunno, either way, they're crap.
But in taurus/sables they have little bars that look kinda like that, and they're bent with tension when the trunk is in the closed position, then they act as a spring to pop it open.
i'm not sure, but that rod kinda looks like one of those....i think its from a different car.

well im glad you at least knew what i meant (deck not DESK). i have one of those in my trunk, i dont have gas shocks in mine.....i believe it is used to hold the trunk in the opened position. mines a 98.5 and my friend has one in his 95. these are one of those moments i wish i had my car with me so i could post a pic to show you. well, good luck again.
