If he knows what he's doing, let him do it to his own wheels!
Personally repairing a wheel myself just isn't my caliber. If you break out the old science books, bending a bent wheel to it's original shape it like bending a piece of plastic, and then bending it back. If you go this way, you'll have to miss Every pothole there is.
IMO, that's not comfortably driving.
