Hi All

CTA has learned that a local manufacturer, Brullen Exhaust, has prototyped a dual exhaust system for Contours.

We will be gathering further information about this system, and if all goes well, will also be offering these systems for retail sales in the near future.

Hope this is a good one. smile

I prob already know the answer but is it made just for the Duratec or do they make one for the zetec as well?

True dual? Either way, a component breakdown or pictures will help quite a bit. I'm sure price info will soon follow.

It appears to be a quasi dual with mufflers on the rear with the option of a centre resonator.

The system is for a Duratec but I would assume that it can be adapted to a Zetec. Not sure about that though. I'll have to contact them again to find out the rest of the information.

Interesting. A good friend of mine has a Brullen exhaust on his B18C5 powered Civic and it sounds brutal! Build quality is up there though, and I love how they have everything finished with that flat black crinkle coat. Looks great, they're usually on the pricey side though right??

Brullen makes NICE mufflers. Should be a good one, but not as good or as cheap, as my Magnaflow design!!! cool

Looks like preliminary pricing for the Brullen exhaust will be around $595USD/$900CDN shipped to most destinations. A little bit more or less depending on where you live.

The system will consist of mandrel bent 2 1/2" piping, stepped down to 2 @ 2 1/4" piping with mufflers on the rear. You can choose the type of tip and how loud you want the exhaust to be. The piping and mufflers will be finished in their black crinkle coating.

It would appear that we may be able to get different options such as resonator or no resonator, muffler in the middle and resonators in the rear. It sounds very promising. Of course the price will vary up or down depending on final set up choice.

More info to come. You can always email me directly, off the forums.

Chris,

I am curious as to how much re-engineering would be needed to get this to work with the Cougars? That would sell more, too. I am beginning to think in two modes now with the turbo kit. Our Cougar bretheren add to our numbers with most performance products.

Hey Dom, where'd you get that CEG sticker?

Contour content: About 6 months ago, I came across an exhaust system for the SVT developed by Brospeed, for about $500. Did anyone ever look into this one?
