A likely decision.

He stuck up for me because you took cheap shots at my mishap in return for my "poor taste" in your car color.
I still don't understand how I did so. I'll even direct you to parts of the response I gave to BMR, which it appears you seem to have so casually passed over:

I'm trying to let it go and give Dom the courtesy I have left in letting other people view his thread without misfires such as this one. He put a lot of time into his CSVT and he deserves such recognition, FCO or CEG alike.
And yet you still put me up as the one "driving the bus." I don't know anything else I can do to satisfy you other than kiss your shoes, which I refuse to do.
So this is your thread. You can have the last word if you feel that's necessary. I just don't want any more trouble with you since I don't know YOU on a personal level. I've long since stated my opinion, and it just appears that it isn't what you hear.
Now I earn names like punkassshitforbrains and spermjockey, just for having an opinion. What kind of CEG is this? I guess I should be used to it by now.
As for being prodded for a reply as to what I would've done, I know for a fact that you edited this post:

Then again, I also know how much of a perfectionist you are. My vision of clean could be something you would say is filthy.
Either way, I'd have gone a different route as far as what color. That color grey just isn't my deal on a CSVT.
To each his own as they say...
However, what color would you have done it?

That second line wasn't in there the first time I read it, so you had to have edited it. Otherwise I'dve replied to you with my opinion in a more expeditious fashion.
In simplest terms, just so you can be satisfied: Dom, I have no doubt that the color change was expensive and a lot of work and time went into it. Excellent job on that aspect. A+
I just would've picked a different color. Same work, same time, same quality. Just a different color. That's ALL I'm saying.
Originally posted by BuckeyeSVT: Saying you don't like something is one thing, to sit here and tell me YOU would've done it differently is TELLING ME that I made the wrong choice.
I apologise if you understood my reaction in this manner. My saying I would have done it differently simply meant I would have picked a different color. All out, I would've done the same level of craftsmanship as your job reflects if I had been able to afford it. You did not make the wrong choice in this light.
Originally posted by BuckeyeSVT: The accident you had could've resulted in a no penalty to either driver, however if she insisted on it - You can be CITED for it. Doesn't matter if she was on the phone or not.. You pulled out of a blind area (meaning you couldn't see around the vehicle next to you) in front of her. She was talking on the cell phone... Made her reaction time greater due to inattention, HOWEVER... She wasn't barreling through the lot as you describe. If a Full Size pickup hit you at 5-8mph max, that damage would occur. There was no way she was doing faster - Or she would've rocked you hard.
On a side note, the damage totalled an estimate of $950. And I doubt the twin two feet tiremarks on the asphalt were a result of her traveling at 5-8 mph. Maybe that's her speed when she actually made contact with my vehicle, but she was most certainly going faster than that prior to her noticing that I was in the lane.
I'm not looking for sympathy for being a "poor college student." There's millions other out there in my situation and still millions more that are much worse off. Top this with the fact that I already am grateful that my car is still drivable and I was not injured. I'm even more grateful that I'm under my parents insurance (which I do pay myself, thanks) becuase I earned that right from them. The way you reply to me in your posts just rubs me the wrong way because I don't think you're being very respectful about it.
We'll see how easy it is to "get over it" when something of the same caliber happens to you. It's not as easy as you're making it sound.
