I liked the old color, alot and I like this one as well but my question is this, why the repaint when the paint was so new I mean I get "ragged on" for spending money on quality products and this guy gets a whole new paint job to replace his other brand new paint job This IS NOT a slam on Doms ride, not at all and as far as all that "crap" goes, the person(s) who don't like him are just jealous, it was evident at our meet back in February and its really too bad because not only was he a nice guy, but has to one of the most loyal Tour owners out there! Who else here has stripped their Tour down to nothing and built it back to be better and WAAAAAAY faster than when it was new?! Nice job Dom and we hope to see it out at one of our meets and don't worry about those "haters", they don't even show up to our meets anymore

This is my car (The Graphite SVT). Spike and I swapped cars about almost 6 months ago. My deal was I was to completely finish the White Pearl 3L (which was completely finished at your meet when I met you) and then we would decide if we should switch back. We did switch back, but not before mine already had a 3L installed and other goodies (which was also at the meet (Spike drove). So the T-Red SVT was repainted... The White Pearl SVT is still White Pearl... Spike now owns that.

"Haters"?? Ohh, I see the karma police are listening as I just read a post that made me laugh in this same forum. Damn cell phone drivers...lol

And the wheels... well, the jury is out on those yet. The headlights are fine - I'm not pulling mine apart to paint them - They are brand new.

Dom, you're an ahole. Chris doesn't like your paint. Big whoop. It's not the best looking paint job ever and he's entitled to his opinion.

Would you like this to turn into something it shouldn't over the fact he had to state his "opinion" more than once, make sure it was rubbed in real well and then tried to drop it so he wouldn't have to deal with the heat? Go ahead and stick up for your buddy, but it's not like I'm in his thread stating "You deserved that"... is it? I spent 4G's in paint/material and time.. another thousand dollars and I can buy his exact ZX2 wholesale at the auction. So don't take this the wrong way - But comments about my time/work and his beligerence to the fact and then trying to run makes me think he's an ahole.

Could I speculate about anything? Nope, I know what I spent. I know how much time I have invested, and negative comments from people who respect it but have a different tastes I can swallow... Someone who disrespects it due to sheer ignorance, plus tries to get on other people's bandwagons... Well - I'm less tolerant on.

This thread turned out like every other thread ever started on CEG that involves me. Someone sh*ts on it, then runs and lets the crowd stick up for him. Whatever, in the end I have my hard work and the goods to prove it. You guys (specific one's..) on the other hand... Have your pud in your hands. C-ya! Ohh, and BTW - If you wanna ban me again.. go ahead.. As this is just another reminder to why I started FCO. Thanks for that!

i like the paint job. it looks very clean. if another csvt owner saw it driving down the street they would have to turn around and go "wait a minute, i dont recall that being one of the colors...it must be custom but it looks stock.." thats a clean low key paint job for you. i think it came out very well. I'm sure the pearls look ten times better in person.

for myself, when i do a color change, (i have twice and hopefully never will again), i like to go for something clean but something everyone can look at and say "ok, that's not the factory color". I love burnt orange myself, like the recent model eclipses. a darker shade of burnt orange. but, some people think that' too flashy.

I had my wife's mx-6 repainted. it was that horrible dark hunter green that everyone in the mid-90s wanted. i didnt want to pull the engine out so i wanted to stic with a green. we went with Ford Mustang green, kinda like del sol green but not as flashy. Car fans everywhere loved it. her friends and family were like "ewww thats ugly, you should have left it the classy dark green it was...." SO, the moral of the story is, no one likes to put work into their ride, especially a lot of it, to have people, especially their comrades, tell them they disapprove and shouldn't have done it. It's kinda like winning the big game and someone coming up to you and saying "yeah, but your team didn't score as much as last year's big winner, in fact, you guys barely even won."

Sure, that's fair but you don't even know Chris. And no I don't know you, but when you say it's karma that his car got fubared,,, well maybe karma is gonna screw up your new paint job for you saying that.
You kept trying to convince him into liking your color. He replied explaining his opinion. And then you got all dicky.
Just sounds like your mad you wasted your money on a not so hot color.
You helped to mess up your own thread, so don't try to blame it on anyone else.
