Even though I love the color choice. I am going to have to say it does not go will with the contour body. That color is meant for cars with smooth lines. Cars like the IS300, B6 A4, B5 A4 and yes even the mustang. The lower section of the Contour completly knocks that color "off-balance."

Now I hate America? That is a new one to me.

I think it looks great!!! I was thinking of putting a Dark blue "peal" look to my 98 SVT, due to the interior color being the dark blue.

I was starting to think I was the only one that felt this way.

I guess I should've quoted the specific post I was replying to:

I'll buy in too.

It's a nice color and stuff, but it's nothing special to me.

When I started my project only very few had done those and no one had done all three. Yes it's been going on THAT long...

If you are going to try to make a decision on whether you like the color or not - Let's start with some decent (not the best) pictures to look at. It's been approx 6 days since paint and the car has been sitting in the shop - Which takes about 2 hours to get dust covered. As far as the color itself, it's Graphite Grey Effect (2004 IS300). It was a choice of 3 colors I had in mind and the last minute decided to go forward with this one. I'm very pleased with the way it came out - And the mods that I did (trunk lock, antenna shaved) we did on our White 3L almost 2 years ago. The seams filled and grille painted was a couple of things I wanted to do to set it apart.

Onto the pics:

Yes, a proper paint job (not Earl Sheib, Maaco, or other fly by night joint) costs big dosh... But if you want it done right - Use the best stuff and don't be cheap about it.

-Dom
