Bradness,
Please describe the Taurus hanger... if you have any pics to show me, those would help as well. I don't want to HAVE to weld the exhaust hanger in, but I do want a hanger that is easy to install and will hold the rubber in place just as the stock hanger does and does not look TOO out of place... I am sure that if you gave me enough time, I could make a suitable attachment using coat hanger wire (and with enough wraps I think I could make it strong enough) but I am sure nobody would go for something cheap looking and sloppy like that, which is why I am being really picky on how it looks- a generic looking exhaust hanger just will not do... had bad luck with them in the past anyways. I am also not one to just shell out money at free will... before I buy something I have to know about how it will look when it is done, and the hassles involved to install it, which is why I am asking for pics. No matter how smart the parts person, it is impossible for them to show you how it looks.... I know Bill could set me up with everything I needed, but honestly calling him or anyone else up over the phone won't give me any insight on what the hanger or the finished install will look like... it just isn't possible. I do not want to dump 100 bucks into several different hangers before I find one that works the way I want it to... I would like to walk in, say this is what I want, pay for it and be on my way. I also do not like my car to look rigged like I was in too much of a hurry to get it installed to take the time to do it right and pieced it together with any little nut and bolt that was lying around just to finish up. I want to involve a little time and consideration into thinking about the project before I spend any amount of money, and this is where you guys have been really helping me. I like the way that with some WD-40 and some channel locks, you can slide the stock rubber piece off and on in one minute's time, but yet as far as driving it down the road, you don't have to worry about it coming off. Also would like to avoid drilling holes into the car unless they would be holes that a dual exhaust Contour would have.... if I do have to go that route, I will just get a stock hanger and deal with the extra hassle.... once again Bradness and all other CEGer's, thanks for all the help!

[edit] I was just thinking about this, and realized (duh) that the SE rear bumper is not as tall as the SVT rear bumper, so what clearance issues am I looking at on this? I want the pipes to fit close along the bumper line and not make it look like they are about to fall off with a 1 foot gap.... again, when I see this on someones car I just think "sloppy". I am a person who likes to do things right no matter how much time is involved, otherwise the project is not worth doing. I do not like my car to look like I just "threw" something on, but I like it to look like I actually planned for it to be there and took the extra time and research to figure out how to do it right. Thanks guys.

Just an FYI....there's already a true-dual exhaust for sale. Cardoc has it for sale...it's 350$ for the Aluminized version and 500$ for the Stainless steel version. It's basically straight back from the exhaust manifolds, goes into the cats, and into (I believe) a flowmaster or some sort of muffler with 2-in-2-out configuration. I can get you more info if you want-E-mail me directly at carcrzy2k@worldnet.att.net

wontgrowup,
has Cardoc redone his exhaust setup? before it bolted on to the back of the cat to a single muffler that split into two pipes at the back of the muffler, and was still a quasi-dual setup.

This will tell you how to hang a SVT exhaust (and a borla) on a non SVT without welding.

Rara -

I think he is mistaken Cardoc's exhaust is a quasi dual.

pweizman,
yeah, that's what I thought, but I didn't want to insult him.
