Actually I think the Redline is more "dolled up"...Anyway I don't like it, and the name sucks. Why won't anybody make a SC 4 door V6 that is affordable??

I partway agree with you on that one. The american car market is starting to go in the right direction... But still not quite getting it... its not all about making a 4 cylender fast... its all about going fast PERIOD... And a Supercharged V6... Even a 2.8 Liter would be insanely fast. and fun to drive... make it under 25K and you have my vote for one... depending on if the car isnt ugly or not.

Can I say "GTP".....

Maybe I should have said "Manual Tranny, and atleast all wheel drive, since rear wheel is probably unrealistic." Also, the GTP is supercharged, but really not any more powerful than my SVT when stock...I suppose I should have been a tad more specific...

Despite the fact that the GTP is 20X more mod friendly than the SVT?

I thought I said stock...Wait, I did.

hmmmm, stock

old gtp =240 hp..something like 260/280 tq
CSVT=190-200hp and like 170ish torque

how is the GTP not anymore powerful

Performance isn't all about numbers. And remember people, the first thing I said was STOCK...Are we clear yet??

I agree with Demon on this one! We will see in a year, but I think GM has really done right on this.

Plus, I love the commericals with the Vette. Now those are some great commericals!

Exactly my point...All the cool cars are either too expensive, 4 cylinders, FWD, or automatic, or coupes...Is it too much to ask for a RWD, V6, manual tranny with FI for under $22K??

Yes.

I had to read that about 5 times myself.. Sounds like a ricer if he considers that one of his mods!

Agreed. But power is about numbers:

Perhaps you meant to say 'performance' in your statement?

Lacking an MTX and the SVTC's handling ability I'd definitely agree the GTP didn't offer more performance. Typical GM, nice power in a not-so-nice package. Oh well.
