Damn you folks are short sighted and close minded.

It's a destroked 2.2L ecotec. (meaning it can actually REV and REV quickly!)

It has a grossly underrated 205HP (more like 240) in a 2600-2700lb car.
It has a very flat and broad TQ curve from the roots blower with intercooler.

"Supposedly" it will have different gearing then the weak offering in the Saturn. If not there is already an MTX that can be swapped out with much better gearing. (hence why it's "supposedly" suppose to get it since it's already a GM part)

It's based on the European Opel platform and YES that means it handles well from the factory. It is NOT the typical GM body roll car. (I know the wife has an 02 Z24 and even with the full Eibach setup it's only passable)

I think this car (MINUS THAT WING!!!) is a great addition to the market and more ammunition with a domestic flavor. (the SRT-4 raised the bar a TON!)

It's definitely a jump up for the aging J-body platform. (GM's entry level) They were great for reliability but getting very long in the tooth and never much in the handling department.

Yes I would like to see a 4 door version a well...
