I'm a HUGE fan of these bulbs (9005's in low beam socket):
-installed them into my CSVT, but then got HIDs!!! -installed them into my beater, 93' Regal, awesome! -installed them into my wifes 04' Ranier CXL, more awesome!
When I installed them into my wifes truck I even changed out the white "eyebrow" lights to amber ones, that looks way better IMO. I just have to change things around to be different, especially when you have a new, SUV thats not much different from everything else out there. Not to mention the 18 x 8" A.R.E. Torque-Thrusts, those don't hurt either
If I said it once, I'll say it again, for $40.00 its one of the best mods you can do to your car, any car (well, those with the 9006/9005 combo).

I must be the only person who wasn't impressed with puting Silverstar highs in the low spot. I noticed a slight improvement, but not a $40 improvement. I'll probably get a set of Xenon 9005's the next time around.

You can now actually see at night and people won't be flashing their lights at you. The signs on the right of the road will be lit up better also. I've spent a small fortune trying to get bulbs that light up the road better than stock but the Silverstars are the best, IMHO. I even like them better than PIAA's for the headlights. They're not super white but they're not yellowish either. Do it, you won't be disappointed. Get the 3457 parking lights too.
Make sure you don't touch the bulbs. If you do, clean them with alcohol to remove any oil you may have deposited on the bulb from your fingers.
I guess I'll go out and buy some, I'll hafta get rid of the 9006's silverstars if I use my highs as as lows then what do I do with my highs?
Put S/S 9005's in the high side too and really see where you're going. BTW, I got all mine at Walmart. They had the best price. Autozone was a dollar or so more if Walmart is out of stock.

Nope, you're not the only one. I didn't experience that much more light output, and i used the correct bulbs, and did it the right way. I will say that they have an excellent color though....which is kinda worth it.

Is $40.00 really that hard to come by nowadays The reason I ask is because I'm always being ragged on for how much I spend on things for my car and the difference is amazing and I don't know how ANYONE can't see the differnce

I'll have to try this soon... I used to have 9006/9005 SS setup, but the recent trip to the bodyshop got them missing... I have XD5's right now, and I'm not too happy with them... Although they're around 1/2 the price...

Sylvania Silverstar 9005ST Silver Star 9005 Do these fit a Mercury Mystique 98 2.0L GS?
I was thinking of trying the high in low trick.
They are a good deal at 2 for 19.95$ + 6.95SH = 26.90$
hmm, I think so, but the seller your buying your silverstars from is very good! I bought a pair for the lexus and the bulbs were here like in 2-3 days. His prices are awesome too!!
