you mean the tabs at the end of the bulb, the pointy rubber thing?

not really sure, compair a high and low beam light and you should be able to see the difference, the tabs area suppose to keep the high beam from connecting to the low beam plug

Use a dremel to carefully remove the tabs inside the 9005 plug. That way it'll plug in and still lock. The difference is amazing. You can now actually see at night and people won't be flashing their lights at you. The signs on the right of the road will be lit up better also. I've spent a small fortune trying to get bulbs that light up the road better than stock but the Silverstars are the best, IMHO. I even like them better than PIAA's for the headlights. They're not super white but they're not yellowish either. Do it, you won't be disappointed. Get the 3457 parking lights too.

Make sure you don't touch the bulbs. If you do, clean them with alcohol to remove any oil you may have deposited on the bulb from your fingers.

Yes, Goonz I was referring to putting the hi bulbs in the low housing. Try to install one the way it is and you will see what is blocking it. There's a tab that runs down the center of the inside of the bulb's connector, it needs to be shaved down.

Did you ever think about trying a rag or a mere paper towel? Or are these magic gloves that also install the lights for you?

I guess I'll go out and buy some, I'll hafta get rid of the 9006's silverstars if I use my highs as as lows then what do I do with my highs?
