at this point you guys keep dragging dan rather into the discussion as your scapegoat for bush's service being sugarcoated. you (dan nix) yourself admitted that it's likely bush had preferential treatment during national guard service. simple and plain. why try to make it look like anything other than that? be mad at dan rather for going after your boy with fake documents but don't flip flop on your position now.
i've said time and time again that polls are statistical bs that can be used by either side for propoganda. but since you continue to refer to them i've seen several which conflict with the gallop, such as pew poll which has them dead even. and another interesting poll on CNN the other day showed that a large percentage of voters thought that bush did have preferential treatment in obtaining his national guard duty as well. so there you go for polls. when they're for you, you love em, when they're not you hate.
