So now it is reported that the first 2 analysts CBS hired to authenticate the documents conclued that they may not be authentic. They expressed their concerns to CBS and even called the producer the day before airtime. CBS simply ignored them (and as we know, ignored the family of the "author" who also said they were not authentic)..got 2 more "experts" and ran the story with any mention of the controversy.
Well, what do you expect? Trial lawyers, like Sen. John Edwards, use this same tatic when finding an "expert" witness. You keep spending money until you find someone that agrees with you. It's nothing new.
Read CBS's statment. It says that they have been following the story for FIVE YEARS. I guess they got tired of waiting for proof.
