accent (southern, northern, eastern, foreign) has little affect on your ability to talk coherently imo, it even adds character in most cases. a small portion of bushisms relate to his pronunciation, and i'm not making fun of him for that. i'm making fun of him for stuff like...
"Too many OB-GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country.",
"Had we to do it over again, we would look at the consequences of catastrophic success, being so successful so fast that an enemy that should have surrendered or been done in escaped and lived to fight another day"
"Let me put it to you bluntly. In a changing world, we want more people to have control over your own life."
"As you know, we don't have relationships with Iran. I mean, that's â?? ever since the late '70s, we have no contacts with them, and we've totally sanctioned them. In other words, there's no sanctions â?? you can't â?? we're out of sanctions."
"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."
*catches breath*
please don't make me post any more. as you can see this has nothing to do with regional differences in pronunciation or bush's "slowness". this is plain unadulterated dubya.
