BP, good try. ...but you're missing the point. My beef here is with the media, not what some people are trying to do to the president. I'm just asking that they a) report things in an unbiased manner, or b) at least admit that they are biased. Dan Rather, only a couple years ago, said that he doesn't think the media is biased towards liberals. With the recent events, you have to think that he's either on drugs or is a liar.

BTW, the acceptance rate for ANY officer candidate (even ones that took out loans for college) applying for national guard in that era was 30-40%. No big miracle that any college kid gets in.

Rather & Kerry got caught together with pants down around the ankles..its not anybody ELSE'S fault that this little aahhemm..indiscretion..with documents is taking the focus off uf Kerry "the great closer"s comeback. The loudest whining that I recall came after swiftboat vets...as did threats to sue any station playing the add, to sue the vets as well. There was some first amendment in action! We will see if Kerry has the guts to follow through with the suit and go up against these 260 vets under oath in a court of law. My bet is all he does is WHINE.
Documents.. reminds me, any further word on the National Archieves documents that Clinton security adviser Sandy Buerger (aka Burgler) stuffed in his pants as he was preparing his 9/11 commission testimony? Media has been hush on this..

I don't *HATE* Kerry, nor do I *LOVE* Bush, but man, Kerry just plain sucks as a candidate. And trust me, I could think of a few that would be better candidates than Bush as well, but especially Cheney as a VP.

Our troops pay has not been cut. Our troops have actually received 4 pay raises in the past 4 years (above and beyond the standard cost of living increases we already receive). How do I know this? I am a Retired Marine, and my checks reflect the pay raises as well, therefore I keep on top of this.

i figured that would get some of you to whine even louder...  admittedly kerry is behind in a few polls, but according to statistical experts 43% of all statistics are absolutely useless.  this will basically come down to election day. the comment about bush cutting troop pay was in response to the comment about kerry not supporting the military,both were examples of issues taken completely out of context by the left/right. lol @ stalking old posts to prove a point and miserably fail. ..nice try though.   lmao/smh @ the people still referring to the swift boat looneys when the official report, his commanders, the people who were there, and the proof shows that he earned his medals and his version of the story is accurate. ...as accurate as bush saying he completed his service as required and had no "help" getting into the texas national guard.
