Just wanted to get a kind of "poll" on what people's opinions are on any kind of Octane boost products. I just bought a package with four small, thin bottles in it from Outlaw products.

I dropped in a can at fill up (with 94 Octane fuel) and whoa, it seemed to enhance my acceleration through SOTP "testing". The stuff was pretty inexpensive, not bulky, and will not harm O2 sensors and Catalytics.

The reason I bought it was (my own opinion) to "clean" out the motor every so often , especially if I've been in a alot of bumper to bumper traffic. Any opinions??? smile

Make sure you use the "cleaners" on a regular basis (at oil change intervals) to keep the small pieces broken up. If you use it on a car that has never had it done in 20,000 miles you're most likely doing more harm than good. Big pieces of crud can break loose and clog filters/injectors/pressure regulators/etc.

Haven't tried boosters on the 3 liter, but may someday try 104 or higher octane if I decide to go to the track to drag again... God I miss the smell of 116 purple wink

NOS race formula w/ a tad of Nitromethane... works wonders.

I tried the same stuff as world tour. I could tell a difference. There are two different bottles. I used the one for the street which is only suppose to raise your octane by 3 to 4 points. I am afraid to use the offroad blend but its suppose to raise the octane 7 to 8 points. What do you guys think. I guess that would be close to 104. Do you think that would hurt my car?

As of latley I have been doing almost like Mark says. I use Amoco Supreme 93 octane all the time, as well as a touch of nitrometh and a bottle of NOS octane booster. Every fill of my NOS tanks, the guy sells me a bottle of the booster for 4.95. Not too shabby...

Yeah what about on my 95 SE ATX....I was thinking of using some of that NOS fuel injector cleaner? Worth it?

Also, how could I get my fuel injectors cleaned well? I hear that you can pay to have them cleaned professionally by blasting that cleaner through them.

I used OUTLAW or OUTLAWED octane booster in my tour every once and a while when I still owned her. This really made a difference on a HOT or CooL day with the chip. The NOS didn't really make a difference on the butt dyno. Too darn expensive also...

Stay away from 100+ octane if you still have your cats... it will kill them sometimes even only running it once.
