Golly. It was just sitting right there next to that Ferrari. I couldn't imaginge a $1,000,000 (well, priceless) car just sitting out there.. at least the Duseys were kinda away from everything else. seems like they were asking for something to happen.
Yeah, after doing a bit of research it appears that this might have been one of the few new cars. They're still considered "original 1965s" but they're new constructions. Its weird... makes no sense to me, but apparently this ISN'T a TRUE "original racer". Whatever.

Not that I'm aware of, and no.
It was in the same room, right next to the Deusy. A green Z-28. It was the ONLY (1 of 1) Z-28 Camaro ever built (at least in that year), a special factory order by the general manager of Chevrolet. The seller TURNED DOWN a bid of $1.05 million for the car, expecting closer to the high range estimate of $2 mil.
When the owners were unloading it, they left their Tahoe tow vehicle unlocked for about 4 minutes. During that time, someone opened the door and stole the owner's wife's purse, plus a bag that contained all the original documentation for the Camaro... the original purchase order, window sticker, selling documents, the original keys, EVERYTHING. Dean Kruse was offering a "substantial reward" for the return of the documents. Kinda crazy...
