i would shop around, i know you really probably cant afford to do that for personal reasons.
remember cheapest isnt usually the best. neither is rebuilt. it will be useing some of the old parts from your trans, so what happens when those fail?? unless you buy a rebuilt non #'s matching Trans and drop it in. then you are looking into the tune of $1100 +install. install shouldnt take more than a day i wouldnt think. if they say it does, look around some more but dont discount them just yet.
if they say it will take more than 3 days (for any reason except the shop is full) then run.
but i dont have alot of exp. with trans shops. if you want yours rebuilt, it will take longer possibly wont last as long because they wont replace all the parts, only the ones that appeart to be worn.
with a trans that is rebuilt when the mechanic gets is for a core exchange or something, then it is usually FULLY rebuilt (or as close as possible) before it is resold.
