So should I take the $1,500 for complete job or risk going to another shop? Time is crucial 'cause I can't live w/o my car.
By "risking" I mean going for the specific estimate - and though one can refuse the service if the cost seems way too high - in reality when my ride will be in shop, I will have to leave it there. The chance is here that the problem will come down to a lesser cost if some parts of my tranny are still usuable - but then again the reality is that every tranny repair comes usually to a total higher than $1,500.
