I ordered one from mean green and recieved it within 3 days, they were extremely helpful to me when I dealt with them about a year ago. The alternator is great, but there is only about 200 miles on her, and I have not tested it yet with a extensive system. I have the 200 amp alternator with 0 gauge wiring.
I recommended this company to SVT ST PETE and he went through extreme amounts of bull$hit with them including much wasted time. Due to this I hesitate recommending them to you, the only thing I got out of pete's situation is IF you do want to order something from them, ask them if the parts are in stock. If they say yes, I would assume its ok, but if they say no, I would not order. They told him they were waiting on parts for a while.
Buyer definetly beware...And don't say we didn't warn you!

(if he can actually get a substantial amount of ouput increase i'm not so sure though)
I actualy considered this myself. I drove over to an alternator shop not to long ago, but it was closed. Been to lazy to get back.
On side note, I emailed Pa a couple days ago now and have not recived a response.

I never emailed them, but called them on a number of different occasions and they were always helpful.

That's to get your alternator checked out, correct? I was having big problems with the CEL flashing at high RPM's a while back. It hasn't been doing it for a while, but I havn't had the RPM's too high in a while either. I'd like to at least see if it is the alternator and how much longer until it goes. Would Autozone do it?

you dont need to buy a 200a alternator you already got one, well atleast i do , when i had autozone test mine it put out ~197a, i was like WTF it is a 130a alternator, the guy was like i dunno , even with the output that high, if it really is, my lights dim really bad at idle, so sometime in the near future i plan on upgrading the wiring like someone said above, see if that helps if not then i will replace the damn thing

That's because the yahoo testing it put the inductive lead on the wrong source wire. (Not all Parts People have a clue!)
It just tested the load (which is 200A btw) the ARBST machine put on the system to get the alternator to max current at a set rpm. (which for the test is just 2000rpm)
Go have it tested again and make sure they do it correctly this time.
Also at 2000rpm you will not make 130amps. A guesstimate would be more like 90amp with it reaching 130A by 4000-5000rpm and maxing maybe 10% higher then rated at 6000-7000rpm.
