No.

I missed his speech at the RNC, but I heard it was his best speech ever. Obviously, other people thought so, too!

there aren't 500k execs for every 500k 'hippies' though. the rich guy (200k+ a year) is vastly outnumbered by the lower classes.

i get the feeling this race is much closer than the polls suggest, even with an "11 point lead". by the time november rolls around kerry will have regained enough ground to make it unlikely for bush to win barring terror attacks, another new pre-emptive strike, or other suprises.

I didn't see the poll, but what was the margin of error? 3-5% is not out of line which means it is still close. And the example of 500,000 hippies vs execs isn't the best example. How about 500,000 hippies vs 125,000,000 conservative christians?

The point is, it's a lot easier for liberals to find 500,000 people with nothing better to do than whine about how tough their lives are being forced to do the unimaginable like working for a living and being forced to provide for themselves than it is for conservatives to find 500,000 people who have time to stand around and protest because they're busy working for a living and providing for themselves.

lol @ conservatives protesting anything (except gay marriage) or leaving their houses at all. they're all in front of the tv watching bill oreilly reruns.

the point is the double digit lead is fluff. sure bush has an expected lead coming out the convention, but the voting population has proven to be very fickle. they'll soon forget all the smiling and sweet talk from bush and refocus on this mis-calculations and mis-management of the real issues affecting us as november comes closer.

like i said before, i think the only thing that can guarantee bush a win is if something big happens.

I was ecstatic when I saw all those people protesting. There were some scary-ass individuals out there. Like PackRat said (and I've said many times here), the people who would be protesting the DNC actually have jobs they have to go to.

But anyways, those people out there represent who the Democrats have really become. They've become fringe-dwelling anti-war hippie kooks. It's all reflected in who they nominated for the presidency this year. He's one of them. The Average Joe Undecided Voter can connect the dots between John Kerry and them. The line is pretty straight.

These polls are bad news for Kerry. For the first time, the presidential race is outside the margin of error. They show Bush's approval rating and his percentage of votes going up. The next week will tell whether this was a superficial post-convention bounce or a real reflection of the population's voting likelihood. Even before the convention, you could see the tide turning in his favor, so maybe this is just a continuation of that. Even after that, it's the state polls that count. Either way, the Kerry campaign is quite panicked. It'll be entertaining to see the desperation moves they pull between now and November.

Wow, I just watched some online new footage from foxnews about the protesting going on at the RNC and some of it is absolutely insane! One group that especially pissed me off were the stupid chicks flashing their panties. They were wearing the American flag around their waste like a skirt, dragging it all over the ground in the process, all the time screeching something about wanting their fellow airheads to vote out President Bush. It's amazing how some people in this country love to use their freedom to [censored] and moan about everything; while showing our flag, that represents the freedoms these airheads so truely enjoy, no respect at all. Makes me sick. Here is a link to the story, it might not work because its a link to a java command, if not go to foxnews.com, click on "You Decide 2004" on the right, and then "Unusual Protests".
