Burning oil, not exactly.

Ingesting oil, yes.

The 2.5L is susceptible to ingesting oil through the intake because of the lack of sufficient head drains.
Also when said head drains are not free flowing the PCV valve can open at times it is not suppose to.

High rpm exponentially increases this problem.


Morale of the story. Run a PCV separator and religiously watch your oil level.
