Denser air is easier,'car runs stronger on a damp misty day ' = water injection.cooling the fuel on a road car can impair the atomisation of the fuel,rembember it has to mix with air and not spray,cooling the fuel,methanol etc is not the same as pump gas.Its connected with the latent heat and volitility of the fuel.
