To the subject of smoking... I think most of what the government says they are doing 'for public health' is B.S. I am part of the public, and I hate smoking. I agree that smoking and non-smoking sections should be sealed off from eachother and the smoking section needs to have good ventilation, but I definatly don't think they should mandate businesses to not allow smoking at all. The way I look at it is this, if smoking is this great plauge sweeping across the nation, why not ban cigarettes??? If the government is truely doing this to 'protect us from our own ignorace' then they should outright ban them. Why won't this ever happen? Simple, they government gets way too much money from taxing the hell out of a pack of smokes to ever consider this. No, they will keep beating down our throats how bad it is for our health, and that they are taxing a pack to $8 for our own good. B.S., it's to get more revenues into government hands so they don't have to raise property/personal income taxes, etc on everyone; no, just tax the $hit out of one group of people.

My idea, which would never happen, but damn it would be funny to see is this; Everyone just quits smoking. Thats right, everyone on their own free will stops smoking in protest of the way they (smokers) are being treated by gov't. When gov't isn't seeing the billions of $$$ a year from the tax revenue you better believe they will start caring. -Nick
