Before NY passed the ban I had never been in a bar or a club that didn't allow smoking.

In case you didn't know NY passed a law (about 18 months ago I think) that for the most part banned smoking in resturants and bars. Despite all the naysayers commerce hasn't been affected. I enjoy being able to go out and have a good time with my friends and not smell like an ashtray when I get home.

You used to be able to smoke in stores, once that was banned, people didn't stop shopping. This law is the same way.

As far as the government knowing whats best in public places, they control alchohol do you think that is OK?

FWIW, I smoke cigars occasionally and I don't have a problem with not being able to smoke them in bars and whatnot.

"Bros before Hoes" <-- More men need this mentality.
