Patriot Act

Quite simply, the most intrusive, rights abolishing legislation ever signed by a President into law. There's nothing patriotic about it whatsoever. And Bush wants it renewed again because of the inherent time limit -- remember the State of the Union address?

I'm not excited about any of the 'choices' for President.

But..., would this Act have passed, let alone come into exsistance had 9/11 not happened. Being in the mortgage business, I have to deal with parts of this Act on a daily basis. One of the results of this Act has been a greater ability to catch Identity Theft and Mortgage Fraud. This, in turn has allowed many Mortgage companies price down to create an even lower interest rate (granted it is only by an eigth to one quarter point), but it has improved your mortgage rate none the less.





And being a recent home buyer - again, I like that!

What's intrusive is some a-holes flying fuggen planes into a building and killing 3000 unsuspecting Americans!
