please advise us of all the economic 'damage' and 'bad' stuff clinton passed off to bush. either you don't know what you're talking about or your memory is very short, and very likely both.

Clinton happened during the internet Boom. He had nothing to do with it or it's falling out. Nor did Bush.
BP you original question is completely irelivant!

The problem with America is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment
for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety
labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

THEY TAXED US TOO DAMN MUCH TO BEGIN WITH! You want to see another surplus, we could always bring your taxes back up to Clinton era... -Nick
No, you wouldn't. If taxes were brought up to same levels we would STILL be in huge deficits thanks to out of control spending by Bush. And I disagree that we were over taxed in 2000. We had a huge public debt that had been built up tremendously in the previous 20 years and it was time to pay it off. It was essentially pay-pack time. And, the economy was still doing good so the taxes weren't hindering it too much.

apples to oranges. different ballparks.
Originally posted by Renee: ALL military, no matter their branch or where they serve, are serving their country.
true. but when you go out of your way to avoid combat (as bush did for vietnam) there is no valor in that. where was his resolve to protect us then? oh yeah, he was snorting it up his nostrils!!
Originally posted by Renee: The difference between Kerry and the rest of the people who have served is they don't shove it down everyone's throats like Kerry does.
hold on here. it's the bush swift boat buddies who've made a huge issue out of kerry's service. they are the ones trying to discredit it. it's not reasonable to expect him to not counter the LIES they're spreading about him since bush refuses to break from their ranks. he just blames it on the '527s' that's the lamest cop out i've ever seen...nope scratch that. bush's surprise enlistment into the national guard ahead of the people who signed up before him is actually the lamest cop out i've ever seen.

Oh, and for those who don't think Kerry has lied.... what about the tossing of the medals thing?
where was the lie? that's semantics. if want to take that to the table then bush 'lied' about WMDs just as kerry 'lied' about medals. btw how many medals did bush EARN in the national guard? did he even show up for all of his duty?
Originally posted by Renee: What about all the flip flops?
since when is changing your mind lying? i guess all women are liars then.
knowing when you're wrong and having the guts to revist the situation and change your position is the mark of a strong individual. only hard headed idiots will stay the course of a bad decision even when clearly presented with their errors.
Originally posted by Renee: What about his NOT supporting the military?
more republican bs rhetoric. what about bush CUTTING THE PAY FOR OUR TROOPS!! i guess that's the type of support you and your husband can appreciate.
plus where do you get all this bs that kerry doesn't support the military? because he voted down a halfassed attempt to do something for the military so a better proposal could be made?

During the Vietnam war, a good friend of mine managed to keep his college grades up therefore not having to go and serve--did he dodge the draft?

Your a complete ignoramus if you think class has nothing to do with it. Rich white kids go to college, poor black kids that don't want to sell drugs go to the military. not since WWII has the military been a serious viable option for americans from middle class america who were "doing their duty" When i graduate high school, the kids going to the military were all of the shop rats and [censored] ups. Not to say that everyone in the military is from that background, but lets be real, the majority of the us military are not from middle and upper class america

I don't know how you managed to butcher that quote but, most people in the military are from the middle class. Our lower class is mostly comprised of imigrants that don't qualify for the military. Pat Tillman was real poor huh? maybe it's considered a more likely option for the less endowed but it's a fact of their life that they joined the military to improve their lives, rich, poor, or otherwise.
It's not the rich sending the poor. It's the gov't sending it's troops, all of which volutarily joined.

doing good in school is not the same as pulling strings with political buddies to avoid being drafted.
